Alternative Healing Questions
Polycystic Kidney Disease - PKD
What is your opinion?

Medical Approach

Among many sites on polycystic kidney disease (PKD), there seems to be a consensus - there is no cure.
Aren't you curious how true is that statement? Most of the time the modern medicine presents purely statistical approach to the patient, and most of the statistics is based on sick people who "did not make it".

In every disease there is a substantial number of survivors, or people who managed to arrest the progress of a disease. PKD - the polycystic kidney disease is not an exception. The point is that people who had the PKD (or liver cysts) and managed to get better, do not go to a doctor.
According to various medical sources, the origin and mechanisms of the PKD are not determined, apart from the fact that it can be inherited (although there are about 10% of cases with no family history, which are attributed to a "spontaneous" mutation).
In short, there are many theories ranging from a multistage mutation in kidney cells to an unknown infectious disease.

Strangely, not knowing why polycystic kidney disease occurs, the experts are absolutely sure that definitely there is no cure. Only dialysis and a kidney transplant may offer hope. Is that really so?

About us

This web site is created by a small group of people based internationally. Some of us with PKD. We are interested in alternative healing methods, and how they can be applied to the polycystic kidney disease.

Current Projects

In particular we consider:
  1. The impact of healthy diet, especially a vegatarian and vegan low sodium and protein diet.
  2. The exercise regimen including weights, yoga, tai-chi.
  3. Meditation techniques, internal visualisation.
  4. Herbs, aromatherapy, music and colours.
  5. Application of the internal organ massage - Chi Nei Tsang.
Please, share your experiences with us.

If you know more about the polycystic kidney disease we would be very glad to receive your case description at case@kidneycure.org. We are also looking for documented cases of the PKD remission. If you have any other comments or you would like to add a link on the favourite list, please send it to contact@kidneycure.org.
